Encouragement

I think everyone was blessed by the time of encouraging each other last night. Thanks to all for participating.

I put those addresses on you handouts for our friends in Louisiana. I heard from the lady that helps take care of Gloria that she could really use some encouragement. I am sure that a letter would go a long way towards blessing her!!!

Super De Dooper Bowl

Hey everybody if anyone is interested in a good ol' fashioned Super Bowl party then come on over to my house februrary 5 at around 4-4:30 (that's the time wade said anyway). Please bring any and all types of food that is suitable for such an occasion. You know chips, dip, hot wings, soda, huge sub sandwiches, nachos, chili, tail weenies, candy, steak...you know the usual. Post any questions you have here and I'll try to pretend like I have a reasonable answer.

From union and academy: go north on union past vickers the next light is downhill, take a left on downhill it will run straight into marron bells take another left onto maroon bells and then take the second right onto Mach 1 dr. The adress is 6145 Mach 1 dr it's the yellow and green house with the ugly fisher price mail box out front.

Summer in China

Who is interested in spending 3 weeks in China this summer? July 5-23?

You would mainly be teaching English at a camp for Chinese University studetns.
This would be an incredible experience.

Cost is $2100. (God will provide!)

Spring Break!!

Spring Break for UCCS and PPCC is the last week in March! I was planning a Spiritual Disciplines retreat in the mountains, but I am hearing that some of you want to go back to New Orleans. As soon as possible, please leave a comment about what you would like to do. Is anyone at all interested in a Spiritual Disciplines retreat????

Mission Trip Review at Littleton Church of Christ

Hey all. Just got a message from Wade, and Bill and company are doing a Missions Trip review at their church this coming Sunday during evening services. They would like anyone who wants to come on up to do so. I talked to Bill this morning and here are the details:

5 pm meet up at Littleton Church of Christ
5:30 pm give the review to the congregation (maybe 100 people or less)
Follow up by going to Bill's house for pizza and a little party.
We are to wear the Yellow Missions Shirts for the evening!

Also--I thought it would be neat if everyone could bring their pics on a CD or digits or whatever--so we can cross-level them between ourselves!

I will plan on going--I get back into Denver at 4 pm. Anyone else interested--let me know and we can coordinate a way up there. It should be pretty fun--and we can meet up with Bill, Glenn, Chip, Walt, Gene, Kevin, Mark and everyone else again, too!

Kairos Reminder: January 3rd at Rob's place. Need help, give me a call. We will be discussing the New Year. In particular--bring any resolutions you may have made, and thoughts on how you can keep them. The couple of posts (on this page and also on my blog) that talk about how we keep ourselves focused on God will be involved.

Basically, my hope is a renewal of our minds through the Holy Spirit as we enter the year 2006. Because the only waste is if at the beginning of 2007 we are at the same point in our walk with God as we are today.
